A Calgary man has been busted in a criminal voyeurism plot in which police say he hired a private investigator to tail and take ‘inappropriate’ photographs of a 39-year-old woman in Cornwall, Ontario.
The Cornwall Police Department issued a warrant for the arrest of Shahzaib Merwat on Saturday in Calgary. According to police, Merwat hired the private investigator in June.
But if Merwat thought his plot was private, it was anything but as the private investigator reported it to Cornwall Police and they launched an investigation.
Merwat, 24, is charged with Counseling to Commit Voyeurism and held in jail. His bail hearing is today in Calgary.
